The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 6-inch device featuring a flanged design. It boasts a 567 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and 1850 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. The body is made from a robust, polyester-coated cast iron while the seat is formed from a peroxide-cured EPDM for durability and resilience. Incorporating a 416 stainless steel stem, the valve offers long-lasting, reliable use.
The valve is available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, compatible with ANSI class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It offers bi-directional flow and has an extended neck that allows for 2 inches of pipe insulation. The disks, made from nylon 11 coated cast iron, provide outstanding corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and allows for the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The cast iron valve body is polyester-coated to protect against weather impact, chemical reactions, ultraviolet rays, and abrasion. The valve also employs a stainless steel stem with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, which prevents any points for corrosion access. With bubble tight seat leakage at rated close-off, the valve assures reliable closure.
This valve is optimized for services involving hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It possesses an equal percentage flow characteristic and can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). Additionally, it can handle a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi, making this valve a versatile asset in a wide array of industrial automation contexts.
