The Honeywell Two-Way Butterfly Valve is a durable and efficient component for industrial systems, boasting a 5 inch, flanged cast iron body with a unique polyester coating. This coating offers protection against various environmental factors like weather, chemical exposure, ultraviolet light, abrasive materials, and impact, enhancing the overall durability of the product.
It comes with a Cv of 428 at a 60-degree stroke and 1376 at a 90-degree stroke. Improving its seating feature, the valve employs peroxide-cured EPDM, which provides superior leakage resistance, ensuring bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off. The valve's stem is made from high-quality 416 stainless steel and employs a close-tolerance inner double-D disk connection which eliminates corrosion access spots.
This model is designed to comply with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connection standards, and its sizing varies from 2 to 20 inches. Additionally, this valve promotes bi-directional flow and is built with an extended neck to accommodate 2 inches of pipe insulation.
Complementing its corrosion-resistant body, the valve features disks, coated with Nylon 11, presenting lower friction and enabling the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
Intended for hot and chilled water-glycol solutions usage, the Butterfly Valve displays an equal percentage flow characteristic. It is capable of working under a wide range of operating temperatures from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 121 degrees Celsius) and can endure a close-off pressure as high as 175 psi.
