The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 5-inch valve designed for industrial use. It features a flanged design with a polyester-coated cast iron body. The valve exhibits a flow coefficient (Cv) of 428 at a 60 degree stroke and 1376 at a 90-degree stroke. Equipped with a peroxide cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem, this valve guarantees durability and reliability.
The Butterfly Valve comes in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections for greater versatility. It can support bi-directional flow while offering an extended neck that accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. The valve follows an equal percentage flow characteristic and can function smoothly within an operating temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C).
The valve's disc is made of corrosion-resistant cast iron and coated with Nylon 11, which reduces friction and means that lower torque actuators can be used with larger valve body sizes. The body of the valve is given a polyester coating for protection against weather, chemical exposure, UV rays, abrasion, and impact. It also boasts a stainless steel valve stem characterized by a high-precision internal double-D disk connection that offers no points of access for corrosion, ensuring a longer lifespan of the valve.
What's more, the Honeywell Butterfly Valve provides bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off pressure and is ideal for service situations involving hot water or chilled water-glycol solutions. With a close-off pressure of 175 psi, it delivers robust and reliable performance, embodying Honeywell's commitment to superior industrial control equipment.
