The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 5-inch valve, featuring flange connections and a Cv of 428 at a 60-degree stroke, which escalates to 1376 at a 90-degree stroke. The valve body is crafted from cast iron coated with a durable layer of polyester, designed to extend its longevity against the impacts of weather, chemical exposure, ultraviolet radiation, and abrasion.
The valve also features a sturdy, peroxide cured EPDM resilient seat that offers tight bubble secure leakage at the rated close-off. The valve stem is composed of 416-grade stainless steel with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, ensuring there's zero room for corrosion access. Fitted with the valve, the butterfly valve hosts an array of additional design features that further enhance its application range and performance.
Available sizes for this product range from 2 to 20 inches, all offering ANSI standard class 125/150 lug pipe connections for seamless fittings. Engineered to accommodate bi-directional flow, this Butterfly Valve includes an extended neck design that can allow for two inches of pipe insulation.
With nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks built into its design, the Butterfly Valve offers improved corrosion resistance, reduces friction and enables the use of lower-torque actuators with large valve body sizes. The valve is tested to operate optimally with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, presenting an equal percentage flow characteristic.
Working under a temperature range that spans from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 121 degrees Celsius), this sturdy valve can comfortably handle a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi. This makes it a sound choice for a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
