The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 5-inch control device of integral importance to an array of industrial applications. This flanged model boasts impressive Cv values at both 60-degree and 90-degree stroke settings, 428 and 1376 respectively. Designed for durability and optimal performance, this valve features a polyester-coated cast iron body, ensuring resistance to weather, chemical influences, UV exposure, abrasion, and physical impact. The resilient seat is crafted from peroxide-cured EPDM, while the stem of the valve is constructed from 416 stainless steel.
This valve comes available in a range of sizes from 2 to 20 inches with ANSI class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It showcases bi-directional flow capabilities and an extended neck designed to accommodate 2 inches of pipe insulation. The valve features nylon 11-coated, cast iron disks that offer corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and the possibility of using lower-torque actuators in cooperation with larger valve body sizes.
The stainless steel valve stem comes with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, entirely reducing points for corrosion access. This detail, coupled with bubble tight seat leakage at the rated close-off, ensures the longevity and reliability of the valve's use over time.
Designed for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, this Honeywell Butterfly Valve provides equal percentage flow characteristics. It can operate in a substantial temperature range, from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C), and can withstand a close-off pressure up to 175 psi.
