The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 4-inch model constructed with a flanged, polyester-coated cast iron body for increased durability against weather, abrasion, and chemical impact. With recorded Cv values of 274 at a 60-degree stroke and 841 at a 90-degree stroke, this butterfly valve is engineered for efficiency. It features a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem, ensuring quality and longevity of service.
The product accommodates sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, facilitating bi-directional flow. It also sports an extended neck to allow for up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. To improve corrosion resistance, reduce friction, and enable the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes, the valve disks are made of Nylon 11 coated cast iron.
Moreover, the valve stem is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection that eliminates points for corrosion access. The seat is designed to be bubble tight at rated close-off for assured consistency and better performance.
Designed specifically for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, this valve has an equal percentage flow characteristic, ensuring steady regulation of the flow rate proportional to the valve's stroke. It is capable of operating at temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C) and can withstand a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi. By adopting this Honeywell butterfly valve, industries can significantly enhance their control over fluid handling operations.
