The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a bi-directional, 2-way system, 4 inches in size. It features a flanged structure with a 274 Cv flow rate at a 60-degree stroke, which increases to an 841 Cv flow rate at a 90-degree stroke. The valve is constructed from a polyester-coated cast iron body that ensures durability and offers protection against weather, chemical, ultra-violet, abrasion, and impact elements.
The valve expresses innovative engineering with an extended neck that allows for 2 inches of pipe insulation. This is accompanied by nylon 11 coated cast iron disks designed for corrosion resistance, minimization of friction, and compatibility with lower-torque actuators in larger valve body sizes.
The product’s resilient seat is crafted from peroxide-cured EPDM, with a 416 stainless steel stem to enhance its resilience to corrosion. Notably, this valve features a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection with the stem, leaving no points for potential corrosion access. Furthermore, the valve delivers bubble-tight seat leakage at a rated close-off, thus ensuring optimum performance.
On technical specifications, the valve successfully services hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It guarantees an equal percentage flow characteristic and operates comfortably within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). The valve is proven to withstand pressure up to 175 psi at close-off. Available in various sizes, the valve provides ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, catering to a range of industrial requirements.
