The Honeywell 4-inch, 2-way Butterfly Valve is designed with a flanged connection and boasts a 274 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and a substantial 841 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. It is constructed with a polyester-coated cast iron body, providing robust resistance against weather, chemical exposure, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, and impact. The valve also features a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat, ensuring durable, long-lasting performance.
This versatile valve accommodates sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, complemented by ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It is capable of achieving bi-directional flow and is uniquely designed with an extended neck, accommodating 2 inches of pipe insulation for improved energy efficiency. The disks are cast from robust iron and are treated with a Nylon 11 coating, offering superior corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and compatibility with lower-torque actuators and larger valve body sizes.
The valve's stem is crafted from 416 stainless steel and includes a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection. This design details have been strategically incorporated to eliminate points for corrosion access, enhancing the overall lifespan of the unit. The valve also promises bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
Serving a wide range of applications, this butterfly valve is ideally suited to manage hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It demonstrates an equal percentage flow characteristic and can operate within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). The valve is capable of managing a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi, showcasing its capacity to handle demanding, high-pressure environments.
