The valve's body is built from polyester-coated cast iron, ensuring high resistance to weather, chemical interaction, ultra-violet effects, abrasion, and impact. The valve's resilience is further bolstered by a peroxide-cured EPDM seat.

Capability extends throughout this product's size preferences, offering sizes between 2 to 20 inches with ANSI Class 125/150 Lug Pipe Connections. It is further optimised for extended neck use, allowing up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. For boosted anti-corrosion defense and reduced friction, nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks are installed strategically. Lower-torque actuators can be used with larger valve body sizes thanks to this robust design decision.

Impressive attention to detail is also evident in the internals of the valve. A close-tolerance, double-D disk connection, crafted from stainless steel, displays minimal spots for corrosion access, ensuring reliable operation over time. Together with the stainless steel valve stem, they perform without allowing any bubble tight seat leakage at rated close-off.

This Butterfly Valve is designed to operate optimally with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It maintains an equal percentage flow characteristic and functions consistently within the temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), even under close-off pressures up to 175 psi.
