The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is 2-way, 3 inches in size and designed to deliver precise control with a capacity of 154 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and 461 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. Its structure is enhanced by a polyester-coated cast iron body and a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat, along with a 416 stainless steel stem.
The functionality of the component further extends to accommodate valve sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, complemented by ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. The valve can facilitate a bi-directional flow and features an extended neck to offer room for 2 inches of pipe insulation.
For enhancing durability and operational efficiency, the valve disks are coated with Nylon 11 on cast iron, offering significant corrosion resistant features. This coating also reduces friction and allows the usage of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The valve body is composed of a polyester-coated cast iron material, offering exceptional protection against weather, chemical, ultraviolet, abrasion, and impact influences. The valve’s stem is made of stainless steel and is attached with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, integrating no points for corrosion access.
The valve is meticulously engineered to offer bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off. It is specially designed to work with services using hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. The flow characteristic of the valve is designed to provide an equal percentage result.
Designed to work under harsh conditions, the valve operates at temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C) and can handle a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi.
