The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 3-inch, 2-way valve with a polyester-coated cast iron body. Produced with large valve body sizes, it has been engineered to accommodate ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, following standardized sizing that ranges from 2 to 20 inches. The distinctive characteristic of the valve lies in its bi-directional flow, supporting versatile industrial processes.
An extended neck is incorporated into the design with the purpose of housing 2 inches of pipe insulation, enhancing its performance. The valve features disks crafted from cast iron, and coated with Nylon 11. This not only ensures corrosion resistance but also reduces friction, which in turn facilitates the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valves body sizes.
A protective polyester coating has been applied to the cast iron valve body to ensure resilience against various elements - weather, chemical influences, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, and potential impact damages.
The valve stem, manufactured from 416-grade stainless steel, has been meticulously engineered to establish a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, offering no points of corrosion access. It ensures a bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off pressure of 175 psi.
