The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 20-inch valve featuring ANSI Class 125/150 Lug Pipe Connections that support sizes from 2 to 20 inches. It is designed with a flanged, polyester-coated cast iron body with a Cv of 7144 at a 60-degree stroke, and a Cv of 22339 at a 90-degree stroke. The valve's body is designed to withstand weather, chemical, ultra-violet, abrasion, and impact damage.
The valve features a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat that maintains bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off for optimal performance. The 416 stainless steel stem is carefully configured with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection that leaves no points for corrosion access, ensuring increased durability.
The valve is engineered for bi-directional flow and designed with an extended neck that accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. The disks of the valve are coated in Nylon 11, a feature that enhances both corrosion resistance and reduction in friction, allowing for the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is suitable for both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, demonstrating an equal percentage flow characteristic. Its operating temperature tolerance range is between -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), with a close-off pressure of 150 psi. This robust construction offers superior performance and durability in demanding industrial environments.
