The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 20-inch control system designed with an ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connection. Available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, this versatile valve offers bi-directional flow and features an extended neck, allowing for two inches of pipe insulation. The valve body is made of polyester-coated cast iron for enhanced resistance against weather, chemical, ultra-violet, abrasion, and impact damage. Its unique construction includes a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem.
The Butterfly Valve also boasts a 7144 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and a 22339 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. For increased corrosion resistance and friction reduction, cast iron disks are finished with a Nylon 11 coating. This sophisticated design allows for lower-torque actuators to be compatible with larger valve body sizes. Notably, the stainless steel valve stem is built with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, leaving no points for corrosion access.
Performance is further enhanced with a bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off. This valve is suitable for both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, meeting the needs of various industrial automation applications. It exhibits an equal percentage flow characteristic, allowing for precision control. Designed for a wide range of operating temperatures, from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F (-40 degrees C to 121 degrees C), it can withstand close-off pressure up to 150 psi. With Honeywell's Butterfly Valve, users can expect reliable performance under demanding conditions.
