The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-way, 2-inch valve featuring a polyester-coated cast iron body which ensures durability against weather, chemical effects, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, and impacts. The butterfly valve boasts a flow coefficient (Cv) of 61 at a 60-degree stroke and 144 at a 90-degree stroke, reflecting its high flow efficiency.
The valve has a well-adjusted size range from 2 to 20 inches and is compatible with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. This feature enables a bi-directional flow, thus promoting more versatile fluid control. Moreover, the valve also incorporates an extended neck to accommodate 2 inches of pipe insulation.
Enhancing the resiliency and durability of the valve, the disc is coated with Nylon 11 while being composed of cast iron. These features provide a significant reduction in friction, enhanced resistance to corrosion, and an ability to utilize lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes. Ensuring optimal performance, the valve stem is constructed from 416 stainless steel with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, free from any points that could potentially allow corrosion access.
The valve’s design comes with a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat, which is responsible for providing bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off. These characteristics make the valve reliable in service with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, featuring an equal percentage flow characteristic. The valve's operating temperature ranges from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and it can withstand a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi.
