The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a robust, flanged valve designed to handle a myriad of industrial applications. It has a flow coefficient (Cv) of 5736 at a 60-degree stroke and 17214 at a 90-degree stroke. Its key components, including a cast-iron body coated in polyester and a resilient seat made from peroxide-cured EPDM, demonstrate its durability. To ensure reliable and smooth functioning, the device incorporates a 416 stainless steel stem.
It is available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches and accommodates ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. The valve supports bi-directional flow and includes an extended neck that provides room for 2 inches of pipe insulation.
The disks of this valve are made of cast iron and are coated with a resistant layer of Nylon 11. This provides both protection against corrosion and reduction in friction, thus promoting the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
To ensure protection from rough weather, abrasive materials, chemicals, UV rays, and impact, the valve’s cast-iron body is coated with polyester. The valve also features a stainless-steel stem with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection that disallows any access point for corrosion.
For reliable sealing, the valve exhibits bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off. It is particularly designed to handle both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions without any complication. With an equal percentage flow characteristic, it operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). Moreover, it is designed to withstand a close-off pressure of up to 150 psi.
