The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 2-Way, 18-inch flanged design featuring a Cv of 5736 at a 60-degree stroke and a dramatically increased Cv of 17214 at a 90-degree stroke. The valve is constructed with a cast iron body, treated with a polyester coating for robust performance under harsh conditions. The resilient seat, crafted from peroxide-cured EPDM, ensures reliable sealing. The stem of the valve is fabricated with 416 stainless steel for superior resilience and longevity.
The valve is available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches and utilizes ANSI Class 125/150 Lug Pipe connections. It offers bi-directional flow capabilities and boasts an extended neck to accommodate up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. The disks are cast iron and coated with Nylon 11, enhancing corrosion resistance, reducing friction, and enabling the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valves body sizes.
Further robustness is provided by the cast iron valve body's polyester coating, which offers protection from weather, chemicals, ultra-violet radiation, abrasion, and impact. The stainless-steel valve stem features a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, designed without points for corrosion access, thus enhancing durability and improving performance. The bubble-tight seat guarantees leakage-free operation at rated close-off.
This versatile valve is intended for service with both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, exhibiting an equal percentage flow characteristic for consistent, predictable control. It is rated to operate within a broad temperature range from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). The valve's close-off pressure extends to 150 psi, proving it as a reliable choice for a wide array of industrial automation and control applications.
