This Honeywell Butterfly Valve features a flanged design, exhibiting capacity values of 5736 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and 17214 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. The valve body is robustly constructed from polyester-coated cast iron for enhanced durability and resistance against weather, chemical, ultraviolet, abrasion, and impact damage. An element of the valve's integrity is the peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat, offering superior sealing and longevity.
The valve is designed for a bi-directional flow and is available in a range of sizes, from 2 to 20 inches with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. The extended neck allows for an additional 2 inches of pipe insulation. Its nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks offer high-level corrosion resistance and reduced friction, easing the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
With a stainless steel stem featuring a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, the valve is designed to prevent any corrosion access points. It ensures a bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off, adding to efficiency and reliability.
This Honeywell butterfly valve is optimal for hot and chilled water-glycol solutions service. It follows an equal percentage flow characteristic and operates within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), withstanding a close-off pressure of up to 150 psi.
