The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way system equipped with an 18-inch flanged setup. Integral to its design are its distinct cv values at 60-degree and 90-degree strokes, measuring at 5736 and 17214 respectively. This valve boasts a body made of polyester-coated cast iron which is resistant to weather, chemical influences, ultraviolet exposure, abrasion, and impact damages. The resilient seat of the valve, made from peroxide-cured Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM), works in conjunction with a 416 stainless steel stem with close-tolerance internal double-D disk connections free from corrosion access points.
Available in a wide range of sizes from 2 to 20 inches, the valve accommodates ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. The valve's bi-directional flow function and cast iron disks, coated with Nylon 11, promote corrosion resistance, reduce friction, and offer compatibility with lower-torque actuators on larger valve body sizes. The valve's design also includes an extended neck feature that permits integration of 2 inches of pipe insulation.
The valve ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off and is equipped to service hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. With an equal percentage flow characteristic, the valve operates efficiently within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and can withstand a close-off pressure of up to 150 psi.
