The Honeywell Two-Way Butterfly Valve is a 16-inch flanged solution, featuring a Cv of 4483 at a 60-degree stroke, and 13966 at a 90-degree stroke. Its structure is both robust and corrosion resistant, composed of a polyester-coated cast iron body, with a peroxide cured EPDM resilient seat. A 416 stainless steel stem adds to its robustness.
The valve sizes range from 2 to 20 inches, furnished with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. Incorporating a bi-directional flow, the valve also includes an extended neck that accommodates up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. For enhanced resistance to corrosion, reduced friction, and compatibility with lower-torque actuators in larger valve body sizes, it utilizes nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks.
The valve body, composed of cast iron, is polyester coated, ensuring protection against weather, chemical reactions, ultraviolet rays, abrasion, and impact. In addition, the close-tolerance, internal double-D disk connection has been constructed with a stainless steel valve stem which restricts corrosion access.
Promising optimal functionality, the valve exhibits bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off. Its technical prowess extends to a variety of services, handling both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions with an equal percentage flow characteristic. Capable of working in a wide range of operating temperatures, from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), it can also withstand a close-off pressure up to 150 psi.
