This is a 14 inch, 2-way Butterfly Valve, constructed with a flanged design and able to achieve a Cv of 3384 at a 60 degree stroke and 10538 at a 90 degree stroke. The product's body is made of polyester coated cast iron with a peroxide cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem.
The valve offers a range of sizes from 2 to 20 inches, conforming to ANSI Class 125/150 Lug Pipe Connections. Designed for bi-directional flow, it features an extended neck that can accommodate 2 inches of pipe insulation. Enhanced with nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks, the valve resists corrosion, provides reduced friction, and utilizes lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The valve body is coated with polyester, thereby offering resistance against weather, chemical influences, ultra-violet rays, abrasions, and impact. The stainless steel valve stem has a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, and is designed in such a way that it eliminates points where corrosion may occur.
With an impressive bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off, this Valve is serviced to work with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. It has an equal percentage flow characteristic and can operate at temperatures from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). To top it all, it has a close-off pressure of a remarkable 150 psi.
