The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is an innovative, two-way flanged device meticulously designed to offer impressive Cv values of 3384 at a 60-degree stroke and a remarkable 10538 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. The valve features a durable, polyester-coated cast iron body, reinforced with a peroxide cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem for enhanced longevity.
Optimally designed to cater for sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, the Butterfly Valve is equipped with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, facilitating bidirectional flow. It features an extended neck, capable of accommodating 2 inches of pipe insulation. The valve discs are coated with Nylon 11 and made of resilient cast iron, ensuring optimal corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and facilitating the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The remaining cast iron components of the valve body are extensively polyester-coated providing an unrivaled defense against weather, chemical, ultraviolet, and impact damages. The stainless steel valve stem features a tightly sealed internal double-D disk connection eliminating any possible points of corrosion access.
Notably, the Butterfly Valve maintains a bubble-tight seat leakage at its rated close-off. It's designed to effectively service both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. The device prides itself in possessing an equal percentage flow characteristic. Notwithstanding extreme ambient temperature conditions, this Butterfly Valve essentially operates at temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C) and can conveniently withstand a close-off pressure of up to 150 psi.
