The Honeywell Butterfly Valve offers a two-way function across a 12-inch size dimension. This valve is developed with a distinct flange structure, offering a Cv of 2563 at a 60-degree stroke and a Cv of 8077 at a 90-degree stroke. The valve body is created from a robust cast iron coated with polyester to enhance resistance against inclement weather, chemical reactions, abrasion, UV radiation, and physical impact.
The valve's resilience is significantly improved by its peroxide-cured EPDM seat. There is a robust stem made of 416-grade stainless steel that provides this valve with enhanced durability and longevity. This valve ranges in sizes from 2 to 20 inches and is compatible with the ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections.
Notable for its bi-directional flow, this valve also features an extended neck that allows for 2 inches of pipe insulation. It is designed with nylon 11 coated, cast iron discs to reduce friction, ensure corrosion resistance, and facilitate the usage of low-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
The valve possesses a stainless steel stem with an internal double-D disk connection specifically designed with close tolerance to prevent corrosion access. It is also acknowledged for its bubble tight seat leakage at the rated close-off.
The valve is optimized for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, offering an equal percentage flow characteristic. It can operate within temperatures ranging from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C) and withstand a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi. In summary, the Honeywell Butterfly Valve incorporates strength, durability, and efficiency, making it a top-tier industrial automation and control system solution.
