The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a 12-inch, 2-way valve offering exceptional control with its flanged, varying Cv strokes - 2563 Cv at 60 degrees and 8077 Cv at 90 degrees. Engineered with a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat, the valve also features a 416 stainless steel stem and a polyester-coated cast iron body that provides an excellent defense against harsh weather, chemical exposure, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, and impact. The valve accommodates 2 to 20-inch ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections and is designed for bi-directional flow.
Further enhancing its resistance to environmental influences, the valve has an extended neck for 2 inches of pipe insulation. It also boasts corrosion-resistant, cast iron disks that are coated with Nylon 11. This coating allows for reduced friction and enables the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes. The stainless steel valve stem is constructed with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, free from any points that might allow for corrosion access. Furthermore, the valve ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off.
Intended for use with hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, the valve allows for an equal percentage flow characteristic and operates satisfactorily within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C). Lastly, the valve can handle a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi, setting a high standard for both durability and performance.
