The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a product intended for two-way, 10-inch operation. It is characterized by a flanged design capable of 1710 Cv at a 60-degree stroke or 5430 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. The body of the valve comprises a polyester-coated cast iron for added durability, with a resilient seat made of peroxide-cured EPDM. The stem of the valve is constructed from 416 stainless steel for enhanced longevity.
This Butterfly Valve range caters to sizes as small as two inches up to twenty inches, all equipped with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, enabling bidirectional flow. Moreover, an extended neck is incorporated to allow the passage of 2 inches of pipe insulation. This preserves the efficiency of the valve during operation.
The valve features a cast iron disc, coated in resistant Nylon 11. This coating helps combat corrosion and reduce friction, promoting the application of lower-torque actuators in larger valve body sizes.
The entire valve body is polyester-coated, thus rendering it resistant to weather, chemicals, ultra-violet radiation, abrasions, and impacts. This significantly enhances the longevity of the valve, thereby ensuring return on investment for users. Further, the valve stem consists of stainless steel and embodies a refined internal double-D disk connection devoid of any corrosion access points.
The Butterfly Valve also showcases bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off, thereby bolstering the reliability of the system during operation.
As far as technical specifications are concerned, this butterfly valve is intended for use on hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, offering an equal percentage flow characteristic. This valve can operate under temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F, and can handle close-off pressure up to 175 psi.
