The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is a two-way, 10-inch valve engineered for peak performance in demanding industrial environments. It features a flanged structure, with capacities of 1710 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and 5430 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. The valve body is constituted of a polyester-coated cast iron, promising protection against harsh weather conditions, damaging chemicals, UV exposures, abrasions, and impacts. The resilient seat, designed from peroxide-cured EPDM, guarantees longevity while ensuring quality performance. Its robust stem is constructed from 416 stainless steel, which offers implemented resistance to corrosion, boosts the valve's structural integrity, and reduces friction.
The valve ranges in sizes from 2 to 20 inches, equipped with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections, and supports bi-directional flow. Its unique extended neck design accommodates 2 inches of pipe insulation. The disks are coated with Nylon 11, further enhancing their corrosion resistance, friction reduction, and compatibility with lower-torque actuators in the larger valve body sizes. The valve stem is designed with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, eliminating the points for corrosion access. The valve offers bubble-tight seat leakage at rated close-off.
In terms of technical specifications, the valve is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions with an equal percentage flow characteristic. The operating temperature ranges from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), with a close-off pressure of 175 psi. The Honeywell Butterfly Valve is geared to offer controlled, efficient, and dependable service in a variety of industrial scenarios.
