The Honeywell 10-inch Two-Way Butterfly Valve is characterized by its flanged design with high flow coefficients of 1710 Cv at a 60-degree stroke and 5430 Cv at a 90-degree stroke. Crafted with a polyester-coated cast iron body, it guarantees durability and protection against weather, chemical, UV, abrasion, and impact damage. The valve is specially designed with a peroxide cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem to ensure seamless operations and prevent corrosion access.
The valve accommodates a wide range of pipe sizes from 2 to 20 inches, offering versatile usage with ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. It is designed to handle bi-directional flow, and comes with an extended neck that allows for 2 inches of pipe insulation.
Constructed for high-performance, the valve's disks are cast in iron and coated with Nylon 11. This provides increased resistance to corrosion, reduces friction, and facilitates the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes. The stainless steel valve stem is expertly fitted with a double-D disk connection that maintains meticulously close internal tolerances, thereby eliminating potential points for corrosion access. Moreover, this valve ensures bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off.
In terms of technical specifications, this butterfly valve excels in handling both hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, promising an equal percentage flow characteristic. It boasts an admirable operating temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and can efficiently withstand a close-off pressure of up to 175 psi.
