The Honeywell Butterfly Valve, featuring a 2-way design and measuring 10 inches, is a robust piece of equipment designed for industrial use. With flanged connections, the valve boasts a flow coefficient (Cv) of 1710 at a 60-degree stroke and 5430 at a 90-degree stroke. The valve's body is constructed from polyester-coated cast iron, making it resistant to weather, chemical, ultra-violet, abrasion, and impact damage. The resilient seat, which ensures valve closure, is made of EPDM cured with peroxide. The stem of the valve is composed of 416-grade stainless steel, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance.
Available in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, the valve has ANSI Class 125/150 Lug Pipe connections. It features bi-directional flow capabilities and has an extended neck permitting up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. The valve utilizes a nylon 11 coated, cast iron disk for corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and the operation of the lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes. The valve's stem has a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, which does not provide any points for corrosion access. It also exhibits bubble tight seat leakage at its rated close-off.
The controller is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, demonstrating an equal percentage flow characteristic. It can operate at temperatures ranging from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), and its close-off pressure is rated at 175 psi.
