Honeywell Ball Valve Assembly, 2 Way, 1/2 in NPT - VBN2ADSX5000

The Honeywell 2-Way Ball Valve Assembly is a characterized control valve geared with an internal Cv of 68. Innovatively constructed from robust stainless steel, it is directly coupled with a 44 in-lb modulating actuator powered by 24 VAC. For flexibility in use, this non-spring return assembly comes in sizes ranging from 1/2 in to 3 in, all featuring internal female NPT connections.

The assembly is designed with a substantially reduced B Port Cv, which ensures a stable loop flow at all times. Being field-configurable, the valve can conveniently alternate between normally open or normally closed fail-safe positions.

To ensure uninterrupted operation, it is supplied with a removable manual operating handle that can take over the control of the valve during installation or power failures. The actuator is particularly designed to mount on the valve in four different orientations, providing flexibility during setup and operation.

Notably, a significant feature of this assembly is its shield-serviceable stem that extends its service life. It hosts a wide array of Cv choices, ranging from 0.33 to 2.99. The valve installs in a globe valve T pattern, eliminating the requirement for extra elbows or piping.

In terms of compatibility, it can service both hot and chilled water with glycol solutions up to 50%, maintaining an equal percentage flow characteristic. The assembly can operate safely between temperatures of -22 F to 250 F (-30 C to 121 C) and withstand an impressive pressure of up to 360 psi.

The valve assembly consumes minimal power at 5 VA and operates efficiently in conditions ranging from -5 F to 140 F (-20 C to 60 C). Built with a U-bolt clamp type shaft adapter, this valve assembly is housed in a NEMA 2, IP54 rated enclosure for added durability and safety.
