The IC693APU302 is an intelligent, programmable 2-axis positioning module (APM) within GE Fanuc's 90-30 series, designed to facilitate advanced motion control applications. This integrated module offers robust 2-axis motion control capabilities, enabling the execution of complex PLC logic functions. The IC693APU302 supports both follower and standard modes; in follower mode, it provides high-performance electronic gearing, ideal for applications requiring slave-master configurations. The module is compatible with any CPU or remote baseplate in the 90-30 series, with support for three embedded APM modules in CPUs 311, 313, or 323, and up to eight APM modules in systems featuring CPUs 331 and higher, with a maximum of three per baseplate. It allows for the creation and storage of up to ten motion programs within the module. Configuration is achieved using Versa Pro software version 1.1 or later. The APM utilizes a 24-pin I/O connector paired with various cables, including the IC693CBL311 (10 feet), IC693CBL319 (3 feet), IC693CBL317 (10 feet with 8" external shield pigtail), and IC693CBL320 (3 feet with 8" external shield pigtail). For custom cable lengths, a 24-pin I/O cable can be assembled using kits for crimp wire receptacles, solder eyelet receptacles, and IDC (ribbon) receptacles.
