The ProSoft Technology MVI56-MBP is a Modbus Plus communication module for 1756-format in-chassis platforms. It operates as a bidirectional master/slave gateway to Modicon-style and other Modbus Plus devices, with a 4000-word data memory for asynchronous transfers between the network and the host controller.
