Honeywell Spyder, 21 IO - PVL6438NS-ILC/U

The Spyder 21 IO is a high-performance, programmable controller for variable air volume (VAV) applications. Designed for efficiency and accuracy, it comes with 6 universal inputs, 4 digital inputs and 3 analog outputs. The flexibility of individually licensed controllers allows for easy customization to meet specific needs. The sturdy device operates using the Echelon LonWorks Network Protocol and is capable of stand-alone operation or integration with the LonWorks Bus Network Communications for enhanced interoperability.

Essential built-in zone control functions include Remote Wall Module Interface and a Scheduler, allowing for streamlined operation. The controller also employs an advanced Microbridge Air Flow Sensor with a dual integral restrictor design that guarantees precise and reliable air flow measurements. Specific models provide easy user access to these sensor inputs and come complete with an actuator that mounts directly onto the VAV box damper shaft capable of producing up to 44 lb-in torque.

All wiring connections are made to removable terminal blocks, simplifying installation and replacement. Both controller housing and actuator are UL Plenum Rated and ensures secure and robust operation in various industrial environments. It engages a Free Topology Transceiver for high-speed 78 Kilobit communications. The Spyder also facilitates use with Sylk-Enabled Sensors through the Sylk Bus.

The field-configurable controller can accommodate up to 119 devices per Q7751A,B router when configured as a repeater. It is programmable for control, input, and output functions utilizing the advanced NIAGARA FRAMEWORK software. Users are facilitated with predefined network variables and a function block engine for efficient programming.

Operating at a power voltage of 24 VAC (ranging from 20 to 30 VAC), it can withstand temperatures from 32F to 122F. The controller has received UL/cUL (E87741) approval and meets standards under UL916 for open energy management equipment. With a Plenum Rating, it also meets FCC Part 15, Subpart B, Class B requirements for radiated emissions. Communication within the network is maintained through the LonWorks system. Offering 21 IO ports and FTT-10A LON capability, the Spyder is primed for comprehensive industrial control tasks. Units can be conveniently mounted on a DIN Rail and are ideal for fan coils and VAV applications.
