Please note: the FRENIC-Eco (F1) series has been discontinued by Fuji Electric. The units listed here are supplied from remaining stock to keep installed equipment running. For new installations, Fuji Electric's designated current-generation equivalent is the FRENIC-MEGA (G2).
FRENIC-Eco was Fuji Electric's purpose-built energy-saving drive platform for variable-torque loads, offered on 208/230 VAC and 460 VAC three-phase supplies. It paired an optimized V/f control algorithm tuned for fans and pumps with a built-in PID controller for closed-loop pressure and flow regulation, RS-485 Modbus RTU communication, and a full protective function set. For a generation of HVAC and water-system designers it was the default specification, which is why so many F1 drives are still in service today.
If you are maintaining an existing F1 panel, buying a like-for-like spare is usually the fastest path back to production — no re-parameterizing, no drawing changes, no enclosure rework. Stock on discontinued product moves quickly and is not replenished, so the available quantity shown on each product page is the practical limit.
When like-for-like stock runs out, or when you would rather modernize than patch, the FRENIC-MEGA G2 brings expanded connectivity, permanent magnet motor support and built-in Safe Torque Off. Footprint, control terminal layout and parameter numbering all differ from the F1, so ask us for the cross-reference and migration notes before you schedule the changeover.
