National Instruments VXI-1200

The National Instruments VXI-1200 is a portable 5U FlexFrame VXIbus Mainframe designed to support advanced testing and measurement applications. This versatile unit accommodates up to six C-size VXI modules and three B-size VME or VXI modules across its nine available slots. The VXI-1200 is fully compliant with VXIplug&play standards and adheres to the VXIbus Specification Revision 1.4, allowing for seamless integration into existing systems. An optional Personality module can be installed to utilize the B0 or C0 slot as the mainframe VXIbus Slot 0, enhancing its operational flexibility.

The mainframe features an auto-frequency and auto-voltage AC input, eliminating the need for manual voltage selection. Its backplane employs active-automatic VME interrupt acknowledge and bus grant daisy chaining, further simplifying setup by removing the necessity for backplane switch configurations or jumpers. The VXI-1200 can be mounted using an adjustable rackmount, facilitating various installation setups while maintaining a modular design that enhances its wire-free capabilities. Additionally, the unit boasts a high mean time between failures (MTBF) and low mean time to repair (MTTR), ensuring reliable operation.

Equipped with speed-controlled fans, the VXI-1200 reduces acoustic noise without compromising cooling efficiency, typically providing 80 W of cooling capacity per slot up to a maximum available power of 720 W. The unit conforms to EN61010-1 safety standards and meets EMI regulations with FCC Class A verification and EC certification.
