The National Instruments PCI-8517/2 FlexRay Interface Device provides a robust solution for connecting PCs to FlexRay networks via its two available ports using the NI-XNET architecture. Designed for applications requiring high-speed, real-time management of FlexRay frames and signals, the PCI-8517/2 supports scenarios such as automation control, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, bus monitoring, and rapid control prototyping. With integrated TJA1080 transceivers, this device accommodates both cold-start and normal operation scenarios. The NI-XNET driver facilitates the development of frame and signal applications in multiple programming environments, including LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and C/C++. Enhanced features include synchronization capabilities, external sync connectors, and 1 μs timestamping, which enables effective integration with additional National Instruments devices.
