National Instruments ISC-1776

The National Instruments ISC-1776 Smart Camera is a high-performance monochrome imaging device designed for industrial automation applications. It features a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels (UXGA) and delivers images at an acquisition rate of 15 frames per second. This Smart Camera is IP67 rated, ensuring robust operation in challenging environments. It integrates advanced connectivity options, including four sinking digital inputs and four sourcing digital outputs. Communication with external devices is facilitated by built-in Gigabit Ethernet and RS232 controllers. The ISC-1776 supports external displays through a VGA video output, accommodating both conventional and USB-based monitors.

Equipped with a 2 GB solid-state storage space for images and firmware, the ISC-1776 is powered by a Sony ICX274AL CCD sensor with an optical format of 1/1.8 inch and a pixel size of 4.4 x 4.4 micrometers. For installation, the device uses an 8-pin female M12 Ethernet connector and can seamlessly integrate into existing network infrastructures via a standard CAT-5 Ethernet cable. The camera operates effectively within a temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C. Although the ISC-1776 is marked as obsolete by National Instruments, it remains available for purchase and repair through Apex Waves. Optional accessories, such as splitting cables, tripods, and mounting brackets, can be utilized to enhance flexibility and adaptability for various applications, and the factory-installed sensor can be replaced without the need for external assistance.
