National Instruments PXI-8364

The National Instruments PXI-8364 is a PXI Bus Extension Module designed to enable the integration of multiple PXI chassis within a single PC framework, significantly enhancing the capabilities of a PXI system. This module utilizes MXI-Express x1 communication, allowing users to serially connect up to eight PXI chassis to a common PC, whether that be an embedded NI controller or a desktop PC connected to a remote controller. The PXI-8364 facilitates software-transparent MXI links, eliminating the need for additional programming, as all PXI modules in the downstream chassis seamlessly appear as local devices in the master chassis. Its underlying communication technology, based on cabled PCI Express, ensures high transfer speeds of 132 MB/s with minimal latency.
