The National Instruments PXI-6541 is a high-performance Digital Waveform Generator/Analyzer operating at a maximum clock rate of 50 MHz, designed specifically for high-speed digital interfacing applications. It features 32 bidirectional digital channels, each with independent direction control, allowing for versatile signal generation and analysis. The PXI-6541 is equipped with expansive onboard memory options of 1 Mbit, 8 Mbit, or 64 Mbit, enabling advanced triggering and pattern sequencing capabilities. This module supports TTL-compatible logic levels of 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5.0V, which can be easily configured through the NI-HSDIO driver. Integrating with the NI Digital Waveform Editor, users can create and modify complex digital waveforms, enhancing test capabilities. The module employs Synchronization and Memory Core (SMC) technology, allowing for seamless integration into mixed-signal test setups with digitizers and arbitrary waveform generators, as well as facilitating multi-device synchronization for high-pin-count digital IC testing. The PXI-6541 is compatible with multiple development environments via the NI-HSDIO driver, which includes the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) for basic acquisition and generation tasks. Although designated as Mature Status by National Instruments, this model continues to be supported for sales and repair by Apex Waves.
