The National Instruments PCI-6733 is an advanced 8-channel, 16-bit analog output device designed for high-speed waveform generation and acquisition at a rate of 1 MS/s. This device supports the creation of both standard and complex waveforms, allowing users to precisely control each data point across all channels. It features a 68-pin male SCSI-II I/O connector, with the capability to connect each Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) to an internal or external reference through the AO EXT REF pin, while adhering to a voltage range limit of ±11 Volts relative to AO GND. The PCI-6733 provides enhanced resolution by enabling the adjustment of the output voltage range.
Additionally, the PCI-6733 includes eight digital I/O lines compatible with 5 V TTL/CMOS, featuring an input and output buffer of 2,000 bytes each, alongside two counter/timer I/O lines that operate at a frequency of 20 MHz with a resolution of 24 bits. Each digital I/O line can be configured for either static digital input or output, allowing for effective monitoring and control of digital signals through software-driven sampling and updates. The device has a compact form factor, measuring 6.87 x 4.2 inches, and operates within a temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, with a storage range of -20 to 70 °C. Power requirements include typically 1.25 A at +5 VDC and 125 mA at +3.3 VDC. The PCI-6733 comes with a three-year warranty and is fully supported by NI-DAQmx and the Measurement & Automation Explorer configuration utility, with user and maintenance manuals available for download.
