Description
The Sail Switch is an automation controller that features a Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) switch and operates at velocities between 1900 to 2250 feet per minute. It comes with a specified 3.5 inches insertion length and a sail dimension of 1 inch by 3 inches. The switch is activated by a metal sail inserted in the air stream, which is a defining feature of the Honeywell Sail Switch.
Moreover, users can manually modify the switch differential by turning a knurled knob available on the snap switch, allowing a tailored control experience. An additional feature is the sail's ability to be trimmed to half of its original size, thereby doubling the velocity required to shut the snap switch contacts. It also includes conduit knockouts on both ends of its casing, simplifying the wiring process and enhancing installation convenience. This combination of adjustable parameters and convenient design elements make it a versatile solution in various industrial automation contexts.
