This Honeywell 5-inch two-way butterfly valve features a flanged design with 428 Cv at 60-degree stroke and a 1376 Cv at 90-degree stroke. Its body is crafted from polyester-coated cast iron, offering durability and resistance against inclement weather, chemical interactions, UV exposure, abrasion, and impact. For added functionality, the valve has a peroxide-cured EPDM resilient seat and a 416 stainless steel stem.
The butterfly valve comes in sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches and features ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. Unique to this valve is its bi-directional flow and extended neck that accommodates up to 2 inches of pipe insulation. This valve also boasts a nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks. The combination of these materials not only enhances its corrosion resistance, but also reduces friction, allowing for the use of lower-torque actuators with larger valve body sizes.
Enhancing its lifetime value, the valve stem is designed in stainless steel attached with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, preventing any points for corrosion access. In addition, this butterfly valve promises bubble tight seat leakage at rated close-off.
In terms of operational specifications, this valve is reliable for services involving hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions. With an equal percentage flow characteristic, it operates efficiently within a temperature range of -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), alongside a close-off pressure of 175 psi. As such, this Honeywell 5-inch Two-Way Butterfly Valve provides reliable, efficient, and controlled operation within industrial settings.
