The valve accommodates pipe sizes ranging from 2 to 20 inches, adhering to ANSI Class 125/150 lug pipe connections. The flow capabilities are bi-directional, increasing versatility and system integration. An extended neck found on the valve allows for insulation of up to 2 inches of pipes for optimal thermal protection. It employs nylon 11 coated, cast iron disks ensuring corrosion resistance and lowering friction to use lower-torque actuators with larger valves and body sizes.
Complete with a valve body that is polyester-coated, the unit is resilient to weather, chemical exposure, ultraviolet radiation, abrasion, and impacts. Furthermore, its stainless steel valve stem is constructed with a close-tolerance internal double-D disk connection, eliminating potential points for corrosion access. It assures bubble-tight seat leakage at the rated close-off, thereby offering increased reliability.
This Butterfly Valve is suitable for hot water and chilled water-glycol solutions, boasting an equal percentage flow characteristic. It comfortably operates within a temperature range from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), with a close-off pressure of 150 psi.
