The IC694CEE001 is a single-slot RX3i carrier and expansion module designed by GE to enhance system scalability and communication capabilities. This module features an integrated PROFINET network interface, along with redundant 24 VDC power supply inputs, ensuring robust power management and superior uptime for critical applications. It is fully compatible with existing RX3i and Series 90-30 I/O systems, providing flexibility that contributes to reduced operating costs. The IC694CEE001 serves as a link between a remote node, which can contain one RX3i I/O module, and a PROFINET I/O Local Area Network (LAN), connecting seamlessly to the RX3i CEP001 carrier. Key functions of the IC694CEE001 include comprehensive scanning of I/O modules within the remote node for both input and output, data publication to a PROFINET IO-Controller based on user-defined production periods, and monitoring of communication between the PROFINET I/O-Controller and the remote node modules. Additionally, it manages I/O state during communication disruptions and publishes fault information, such as alarms and diagnostics, directly to the controller. The USB port on the module is dedicated exclusively for firmware upgrades and is not intended for permanent connections. Please note that the CEP carrier requires an external +24 VDC power supply.
