The IC200PNS002 is a VersaMax PROFINET Scanner developed by GE Fanuc that serves as a critical link between remote nodes of VersaMax modules and a PROFINET I/O Controller. This device effectively scans modules, retrieves input data, and provides output data, ensuring real-time communication within the PROFINET network. The IC200PNS002 facilitates the management of PROFINET communication and module configuration, allowing seamless integration between various modules and the controller. In the event of a communication loss, the scanner maintains I/O states according to the specific configurations of the modules. Operating at a power consumption of 1.10A at 5VDC, the IC200PNS002 supports the installation of redundant power supplies, which can be added without disrupting system operation; prior to installation, the power source must be turned off, and once the redundant power supply is in place, it can be activated while the PWR LED indicates proper functionality. It is crucial to avoid mixing isolated and non-isolated power supplies; if an isolated power supply is utilized, all power supplies in that area must also be isolated. However, mixing non-isolated AC and non-isolated DC power supplies on the PNS or booster is permissible.
