GE Fanuc IC200MDL643

The IC200MDL643 is a 5/12 VDC Positive-Negative Logic Input Module designed for the VersaMax series by GE Fanuc, featuring 16 discrete input points divided into two sets of eight. This module supports both positive and negative logic configurations, allowing for versatile interfacing with input devices. In positive logic, inputs accept current from devices and return it to a common terminal, while negative logic operates by receiving current from the common terminal and providing it back to the input device. The devices are easily connected between the common and input terminals. Powered by the backplane, the IC200MDL643 relies on the CPU or Network Interface Unit (NIU) for intelligent processing, delivering 16 bits of discrete input data. Each input point's status is indicated by individual green LEDs, which require backplane power for operation. The module features a rapid input on/off response time of 0.25 ms, with the possibility of additional filtering to mitigate noise spikes and switch bounce in critical applications.
