GE Fanuc IC200MDD849

The IC200MDD849 is a discrete mixed I/O module from the VersaMax PLC series, designed by GE Fanuc Automation. This compact module integrates a total of 16 I/O points, comprising eight sourcing or positive logic type inputs and eight relay outputs. The output relays are Form A with moving armature and silver contacts, and each input point is connected to a ground return. Notably, the output points are individually isolated on separate channels and can support up to 2 amperes of current per output. The device does not offer protection methods such as snubbers, metal oxide varistors, or fuses. Power for the IC200MDD849 is supplied via a 5V backplane, from which each active input and output point draws power, with a maximum consumption of 295 milliamps. It is important to note that thermal derating is not supported. The input voltage operates within a range of 0 to 132 volts AC at a frequency of 47 to 63Hz, with a nominal value of 120 volts. The input "on" state voltage ranges from 70 to 132 volts AC, while the "off" state is 0 to 20 volts AC, requiring a minimum "on" current of 5 milliamps and a maximum "off" current of 2.5 milliamps. Output voltage capabilities are extensive, allowing for 0 to 125 volts DC (with nominal values of 5, 24, and 125 volts) or 0 to 265 volts AC (with nominal values of 120 and 240 volts). The output voltage drop is limited to a maximum of 0.3 volts, and since the output points use an open contact configuration, leakage current is not applicable. The reactive input impedance is measured at 8.6 kOhms at 60Hz and 10.32 kOhms at 50Hz, ensuring compatibility with various control applications.
