Fuji Electric FRENIC-MEGA (G1) High-Performance Variable Frequency Drives

When a general-purpose drive cannot meet the torque or dynamic response an application demands, the FRENIC-MEGA (G1) is Fuji Electric's high-performance answer. Ratings span 1/2 HP to 1000 HP on 230 V and 460 V three-phase supplies, with advanced vector control across a very wide speed range.

Torque and speed performance

In sensorless vector mode the G1 develops up to 150% starting torque at 0.5 Hz with no encoder fitted. Add the optional encoder card for closed-loop vector control and that rises to 200% starting torque with ±0.01% speed regulation. A dedicated torque control mode supports tension-controlled winding and unwinding, and multi-duty ratings (Light, Medium and Heavy) let one frame size cover several load profiles.

  • Built-in PLC function for sequencing and logic inside the drive, reducing external panel components
  • Instantaneous power failure ride-through to keep critical lines running through supply dips
  • DC bus sharing for multi-drive systems that recover regenerative energy
