The BU55-4E monitors the DC bus voltage and, when it rises above a set threshold, routes this regenerative energy through an external braking resistor where it is safely dissipated as heat — preventing overvoltage faults and enabling fast, controlled deceleration.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eRequired for large cranes, overhead hoists, winders, centrifuges, and high-inertia fan and pump systems where regenerative braking energy exceeds the drive's built-in braking transistor capacity.
